Just over two hours remain  until the polls close in Massachusetts where Republican Scott Brown has staged a Montana-esque comeback against the previously heavily favored Democrat Martha Coakley.

While it is too early to tell who will come out on top in this special election it is being reported that turnout has been high.  Regardless of outcome of the election - and the subsequent impact on the healthcare debate - it is comforting to know that open debate and democratic values are on display as so many citizens have taken up their civic duty today in Massachusetts.
